Started a dinner club with friends and had our first "meeting" last night at Dhaba Restaurant (309 King St. West, Toronto). I am generally skeptical of that strip of King St. - thinking of it much as I think of the Latin Quarter in Paris, a tourist trap - but the restaurant is, as NOW Magazine said it would be, really really good!

I had the chicken tikka masala which was good but I ended up looking longingly across the table at my friend's dish of butter chicken which was out of this world tasty! The mains are a good deal - lots of food for around $15.00 - but the appetizers are a little sparse for the price. I say skip the apps and get the house wine which is good and cheap!
